Kiser Senior Center

In 2011 the city completed the renovation of the former Duke Power office on West Pennsylvania Avenue to create the Kiser Senior Center. The facility is designed to help meet the needs of adults 55 and over in the Bessemer City area. The building contains a social room, craft/computer room, fitness room, small kitchen and back garden.

The Kiser Senior Center was dedicated in December 2011 to Dr. Glenn Kiser and wife, Muriel, who made the center possible through a generous endowment. The vision of Dr. Kiser was to provide a means to enrich the lives of older adults in the community.
