Attendees: Angel Autry, Jimee Crouch, Bridget Martin, Marsha Beattie, Otis Whitehurst, Cissy Glass, Keith Weisgerber, Ann Weisgerber, Michael Meeks, Steve Shaw Down Home days, May 11 and 12th were the primary focus. BCMA is responsible for the wine and beer garden this year. We will start setting up tables, chairs and tents around lunch time on Saturday in the parking lot on Virginia Avenue. We will not start serving until 5 PM. People must stay in the parking lot while consuming wine or beer. ID will be checked and wristbands will be issued to enter the parking lot area.
Keith Weisgerber said he had notified the insurance company that May 12 is one of the 4 annual events the BCMA is holding to be covered under the $1 million liability policy.

The Bessemer City Merchants Association has purchased 4 desktop computers that are set up, connected to the internet with a printer to be used by students for schoolwork as needed. If you know of students who would benefit, please tell them to stop by Angel's store. This is a resource available to students in Bessemer City schools, after school, or on Saturday at Angel's, 101 E. Virginia Avenue. Get the word out!
