Attendees: Angel Autry, Jimee Crouch, Bridget Martin, Marsha Beattie, Otis Whitehurst, Cissy Glass, Keith Weisgerber, Ann Weisgerber, Michael Meeks, Steve Shaw Down Home days, May 11 and 12th were the primary focus. BCMA is responsible for the wine and beer garden this year. We will start setting up tables, chairs and tents around lunch time on Saturday in the parking lot on Virginia Avenue. We will not start serving until 5 PM. People must stay in the parking lot while consuming wine or beer. ID will be checked and wristbands will be issued to enter the parking lot area.
Keith Weisgerber said he had notified the insurance company that May 12 is one of the 4 annual events the BCMA is holding to be covered under the $1 million liability policy.

Gastonia Municipal Airport (KAKH)
Advanced Drainage Systems is the largest polyethylene pipe and fittings manufacturer in the country. They produce pipe diameters ranging in sizes from 4 to 48 inches and employ 100 people.
Dole has invested millions of dollars in their facility and is providing hundreds of jobs to the community of Bessemer City. The new facility is located in the Southridge Business Park, which has entrances off of Edgewood Road and Gastonia Highway
Hunter Douglas (Designer Shades Division) has a 150,000 square foot facility in Southridge. Southridge is expected to accommodate 7-10 typical-structure plant facilities over the next 15 years.
