Public Hearing:
Future Land Use Plan and Map (draft)
The Bessemer City Future Land Use Plan and Map is intended to guide future development and provide a policy for land use decision making. The proposed plan was created based on the adopted Strategic Vision Plan and addresses our community values and goals which were derived from an extensive citizen input process. The City Council will hold a public hearing on its adoption on July 13th at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council chambers. You may view the plan by clicking here.
Our Community Vision Bessemer City is a place that celebrates its family-oriented, small town character especially through its heart, a thriving central business district. We seek to be a safe, well-maintained community, where public utilities are dependable and available to support new growth.
We support a strong educational system and welcome a broad range of businesses and industries as fundamental to building a great community and in providing opportunities to our citizens.
Dear Bessemer City Neighbors,
We have begun a new community planning project which will help shape the future of our town, and we really want you to participate in the development of the plans. Your input will be crucial to completing this new vision for our community’s future.

We are providing two options for gathering your feedback.
You can attend the public meeting (future dates will be announced on here at Bessemercity.com) or you may join us online at www.wikiplanning.org. Where you can take a survey, leave comments and view the progress of the project. Just click on the link above and enter the password BCNC. Your participation and comments will make a difference.
