WATER RESTRICTIONS LOWERED TO STAGE I
At the March 10, 2008 City Council Meeting the Bessemer City Council voted unanimously to lower the water restrictions from Stage III to Stage I. The City’s storage reservoirs were full due to the recent rain and the City Manager recommended a lowering of the restrictions. The Council stated that North Carolina is still in a major drought situation and volunteer conservation is important.
